Peonies, Olive Green, and Romance at Sycamore Farms.

This wedding will always hold a special place in my heart, not only because of the design, but because the couple are two of my very best friends. Being both a bridesmaid and the floral designer was a challenge like no other, but it was such an honor to create something so personal for them.

At Sycamore Farms in Franklin, the couple envisioned a romantic celebration with a palette of olive green, peach, butter yellow, and ivory. We leaned into the softness of peach peonies, lush garden roses, and delicate ranunculus, anchored with olive foliage to bring depth and movement.

The bridal bouquet was a dreamy mix of olive greenery, buttery peonies, peach ranunculus, and stephanotis, setting the tone for the day. Bridesmaids carried smaller versions, while the groom wore a floral pocket square boutonniere in the same palette for a modern twist.

For the ceremony, we designed a large arbor draped with two lush sprays of greenery and blooms. The aisle itself felt abundant, lined with arrangements of greenery and flowers, with two grand pieces at the back of the aisle framing the moment beautifully.

At the reception, those same aisle arrangements were repurposed into elevated designs on gold harlow stands, a creative win that added both impact and sustainability to the design. Bridesmaids’ bouquets found new life as table centerpieces, while the long head table showcased a flowing garland of greenery accented with blooms. Specialty votives, pillar candles, and olive green taper candles paired seamlessly with velvet olive napkins to complete the romantic ambiance. Behind the live band, a wooden arbor dressed in greenery garland created a stunning backdrop for the celebration.

Repurposing florals and directing the overall creative vision was an incredible experience. This wedding reminded me why I love what I do. Flowers have the power to tell a story, and this story was one of love, friendship, and pure romance.
